A discovery trail managed by the Conseil départemental de l'Orne, which owns the site, enabling it to be fully opened and its treasures to be explored.
The path is lined with young trees that will soon form a beautiful bocage hedge. At the bottom of the slope, the lake is fed by a stream and a spring located beneath the railway line. All around, water-birds take advantage of the peaceful surroundings, protected by the large mounds of vegetation, known as tussocks, to raise their young or rest during migration.
Continuing along the path, you enter a small hillside wood, a refuge for green and great spotted woodpeckers as well as mammals including badgers and roe deer.
Marked path open all year round. Boots essential in times of flooding. Guide leaflet (available on site).
