The Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde, an outstanding example of French Renaissance architecture, was built at the beginning of the 16th century by Guillaume II Le Roux. The main building in Place de la Pucelle, built before 1510, opens onto a central courtyard adorned with historical frescoes dating back to that period and depicting the famous meeting of the Field of the Cloth of Gold between Francis I and Henry VIII in 1520. It has now been renovated and converted into a luxurious boutique hotel.
