This old oak tree in the Pays de Caux draws its fame from its surprising longevity. Indeed, being over one thousand years old, it is the oldest oak tree in France. It has also housed two chapels, one above the other, since 1696. At that time, the parish priest set up these two chapels inside the oak trunk: one dedicated to Our Lady of Peace and the other called the Hermit Chamber. Located next to the church, it is accessible via stairs and the slimmest among you will be able to slip in.
