Chapelle Saint Louis de Taussat

At the request of Eugène Ernest De Courcy (whose father, Jacques François Le Cousturier de Courcy, acquired the Taussat estate in 1830), a chapel was built at Taussat in 1860.
Today?s chapel is the third version. The first, deemed too small, was completely rebuilt in 1949.
Still not large enough, it was again remodeled and enlarged after several years of private fund-raising.
The current version was completed in 1963.
The beautiful stained glass windows adorning this monument were designed by Monsieur Mirande, a master enameller from Bordeaux.
