Le Verger-sur-Dive

Only one street, but what a street, the street of porches! A new peasant solidarity was born around a unique project: to restore what Le Verger had most precious, its houses and especially the rustic porches. Here, the traditional farms, by their size and architectural quality, testify to the past power of Poitou seigneurial fiefs. Two buildings in the town are directly linked to the characters who have permanently marked the place: Radegonde with its chapel and the Marconnay family with its castle, of which only remains a dwelling flanked by towers.
