CARRIERES D'EUVILLE
Description
Euville is the only quarry of its kind in Lorraine, both for its size and its history. Located in the centre of the site is the Grande Carrière stonecutting centre, a great place to find out about geology, stone-related trades and crafts and the life of quarrymen from the early 19th to the 20th centuries.
- Semi-permanent exhibition, "Pierre d'Euville, histoire d'un mythe" (Euville Stone, the Story of an Icon), open June to September
- Guided tours
- Signposted walk, "The Stone Trail"
- Educational workshop.
