Eglise romane de Saint-Georges

Description

The first mention of the church dates back to 1110, when it was donated to the collegiate church of Saint-Emilion by Archbishop Arnaud Guiraud. The church is a small building with a single nave and a monumental entrance on its southern flank. The nave opens onto a transept with two oriented apses. A large, somewhat atypical bell tower stands on the north arm of the transept. The nave ends in a semicircular apse, crowned by a cornice supported by sculpted modillions. This building has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1920.
