Bastide de Cadillac

Description
Cadillac est une bastide fondée en 1280 par Édouard Ier d'Angleterre, pour des raisons militaires afin d'assurer la défense de Bordeaux ; elle fut créée sur l’emplacement du bourg Saint-Jean par Jean Ier de Grailly, sénéchal de Guyenne, mais ses remparts ne furent achevés qu’en 1315.
