Description
Cette maison de commerce est rénovée en 1570 par Berthomieu Laboyrie, marchand bazadais. Sa charpente en chêne évoque une carène de navire renversée. Sa tour hexagonale extérieure abrite un escalier et deux galeries superposées. Le petit jardin de la façade arrière et les lucarnes de la façade principale au sud (Place de la Cathédrale) lui donnent un petit air Renaissance. Louis XIV y a séjourné en 1660, en route pour son mariage à Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
