Trois sujets en prairie. Le chêne pédoncule se trouve partout en Europe jusqu'au Caucase sauf en région méditerranéenne. Peut vivre jusqu'à 1000 ans et plus. Sa couronne est formée par des branches sinueuses, lourdes et étalées. Ses fruits, les glands, sont souvent groupés par deux sur un pédoncule de 5 à 12 cm.
