Fishing in Oisans (Circuit n°18)

With its altitude lakes, fastflowing mountain streams and rivers, Oisans is definitely waterorientated. A number of accessible rivers are packed with wild trout, yet the fast flow of most mountain rivers can make the fishing them a true sport!
The lakes are not to be outdone. At Alpe d’Huez, Lac Besson, under the watchful eye of the Grandes Rousses, is full of trout of all kinds, as well as with magnificent charfish. The same goes for the Lac du Plan at Les 2 Alpes, the Lac du Lauvitel in the Veneon valley and the Eau d’Olle valley. The Rive in Bourg d’Oisans is one of the purest rivers in France and has a fly-fishing stretch for enthusiasts of this difficult sport. Children have not been forgotten; the Lac des Bergers at Alpe d’Huez is a great place for beginners.
