Souterroscope des Ardoisières
Description
Discover the subterranean world in this underground "fossilised" slate quarry, hollowed out by man and located in the heart of the Normandy Bocage.
This unique type of 19th century quarry can only be found in Caumont l'Éventé. An exceptional site offering visitors an encounter with the water table.
Several large screen videos, spectacular and educational shows.
At ground level, 2 hectares of leisure area accessible to disabled visitors.
Underground temperature. 12° (bring warm clothing). Restaurant, souvenir shop.
Guided tour in French or English: 1 hour.
