Pont de Senoueix

All that remains of this single-arch bridge is a remnant of a semicircular arch. It must have been dry-jointed. The abutments, built of large stones, are still visible. This structure carried a paved road, the traces of which can be seen on either side for a few meters.
Around the bridge are the stones that formed the masonry. The Limousin region is home to numerous remnants of ancient single-arch bridges. These structures, often referred to as "Roman bridges", date back to Roman times.
Others were built between the 12th and 18th centuries. The one at Gentioux, nicknamed the "Roman bridge", probably dates from the 17th century, and was built over the Taurion, upstream of the bridge used by the road from Gentioux to Saint-Marc-à-Loubaud.
