Au n°5 de la rue Teynière, l’hôtel de Meillonnas, construit en 1774 pour le baron Gaspard Marron de Meillonnas (village à 12 km au Nord Est de Bourg). Edgar Quinet y vécut une partie de son enfance. Sa façade est agrémentée de balcons chantournés en fer forgé de style Louis XV. Sa porte cochère est décorée de bouquets de fleurs sculptés rappelant le décor caractéristique des faïences de Meillonnas. Cf. plaque Rotary
Sur la droite de l’hôtel particulier, vous apercevez une Vierge de quartier du XVIIIe siècle et au N°11 de la rue, une façade de style Henri II (XVIe siècle) ; les fenêtres ont malheureusement perdu leurs meneaux et traverses.
En sortant de la rue Teynière sur la droite, vous retrouverez l’avenue Alsace Lorraine et l’Office de Tourisme
