Maison bleue

In the 19th century, during the industrial revolution, bricks and mortar were replaced by concrete as the premier building material.
Against this potentially bland construction form, the artist Isidore Odorico sought to bring a decorative style that on the ‘Maison Bleu’ included elaborate mosaics… characteristic of art deco!
