The 3,500 m² Roman villa at Pardigon is one of the largest Roman seaside villas on the Gallic coast.
Built between 20 and 40 AD, the Villa Pardigon covers an area of 3,500 m2. It was one of the largest Roman seaside villas on the Gaulish coast. Between 6,000 and 8,000 soldiers from the legion of Octavian, Julius Caesar's nephew, occupied the site before it was handed over to one of the legion's leaders. The villa grew over the years (1st, 2nd and then 4th and 5th centuries).
