Description

From the pre-Alpine relief of the Hautes-Bauges to the almost "Jura" atmosphere of the Revard plateau. From the crests of the Margériaz, the itinerary for the following day comes into view, with the Chartreuse and Belledonne massifs beyond.

4/ 1- Leave Aillon via the Margériaz forest to reach the Place à Baban (1340 m - equipped bivouac site). - 2- Follow the "tannes et glacières" discovery trail to reach the Col de la Verne (1517 m). - 3- From the pass, descend to the hamlet of Les Chavonnes, then follow the slopes of Mont Margériaz. - 4- Pass through the hamlet of La Labiaz (1060 m), then continue on to the Col de Plainpalais. - 5-join the D912 at the La Féclaz - Chambéry crossroads to find the right-hand path that climbs and intersects the D913 twice. - 6- Reach a forested flat then meadows. Follow the D913 for 200 m, past the old quarry. Go right up through a beech forest for 900 m. Turn left onto a forest track and leave the forest. - 7-Take the road to Le Parvis (1,319 m), then the station at the O'Givrés building.
