Description
History and heritage: the film repertoire, a precious witness to history. Nazi Germany has surrendered to the Allied armies. Berlin is a smoldering field of ruins. Edmund Koehler, a 12-year-old boy, scours the rubble for food before returning to the half-collapsed building where his family has taken precarious shelter.
Screening followed by discussion with Alain Bergala of the Cinémathèque Française.
