Longère - 17th and 19th centuries.
Stone.
This longère, with its staircase and stoop, was used for farming, crafts and trading. Restored several times, it once housed an inn where pilgrims would stop off after their ablutions at the fountain outside the bastide walls. Here, "le sieur Papin gran manjur de bouilli (boeuf en pot-au-feu), albergiste de la chartrouse" welcomed the Jacquets.
