The Nyons bridge was built in 1399-1400 on the initiative of the local councilors, but this project took nearly 60 years to materialize. Guillaume de Pays, of Romans, was the carpenter of the building site and Jean Felisson, native of the surroundings of Grenoble, the architect and the stonemason. It is one of the finest examples in Europe of single arch bridges: it overlooks the river nearly 20 meters and its opening is 40.5 meters. It is classified as a historical monument since 1925.
