THE MEMORIAL BARRACK

This World War II memorial site is the last remnant of the barracks built in early 1945 in Saint-Rémy-aux-Bois.


For nearly 10 years, they housed the inhabitants after the village was burnt down and then bombed by the Germans.

Like a living museum, the furniture and everyday objects of the time are in their original place, accompanied by photos and testimonies of this historic period.
