Two windmills dating from the 18th and 19th centuries stand side by side on the hills of Pouzauges, in a site with a remarkable panorama. After 15 years of dormancy, their majestic wings are once again visible above the town. The crushed wheat becomes flour, and on certain days the baker turns it into bread, which is then baked in a wood-fired oven. Enjoy a stroll through the animal park (chickens, rabbits, pheasants, fallow deer, turkeys, goats, etc.), with the added bonus of a breathtaking view of the mills.
Bread, viennoiseries, brioche, flour and drinks on sale on site.
Guided tours inside the mills available for groups only. Bookings required at the Tourist Office.
