This cross is also called "Croix du sillon" (cross of the groove).
A first cross was erected to show the burying grounds of the shipwrecked from Corsaire ships Citoyen (1792) and Clarisse (1807). The bones were dug out and moved, and a new calvary was built in 1937. By the old Martime Affairs building, is le Voyou (The Hooligan) fishing boat disarmed in 1995.
