Paris-Gare-de-Lyon is one of the seven terminus stations of the SNCF (French National Railways) network in Paris.
It is also a station on the RER (Regional Network) d’Île-de-France network. Often, simply called gare de Lyon, it is located in the 12th district (arrondissement), mainly in the Quinze-Vingts neighborhood. The South East portion of its tracks and platforms are located in the Bercy neighborhood.
It’s the third largest Paris train station by traffic (about 101 million travelers in 2015), and the second with regard to mainline trains (after the gare du Nord with 36 million, including the TGV). It is in zone: 1 (tarification Île-de-France) with coordinates 48° 50′ 41″ North, 2° 22′ 25″ East and an altitude of 39 m.
It is on the train lines Paris-Lyon ↔ Marseille-Saint-Charles, Paris-Nord ↔ Paris-Gare-de-Lyon (RER D) and RER A with 22 terminus surface lines and 6 underground through lines for RER A and D for a total of 28 tracks and 28 platforms serving 137,8 million passengers (2015), including Mainlines and RER D (SNCF): 101,2 and RER A (RATP): 36,6 million per year.
