Description

The Clichy Bridge The picture shows a view of the bridge from the quay of Clichy (Clichy) with the two buildings framing the entrance of the Voltaire boulevard in Asnieres. While creating 'the Clichy Bridge', Van Gogh wrote: "I spoke to (Emile) Bernard about a sunset and a bridge. The bad weather prevented me from working at the site and I completely ruined it by trying to finish it at home. So I did the same thing on another canvas, but the weather was different, in gray tones and without relief. "
