This land once belonged to the famous Baron de Brane, an entrepreneurial nobleman who, in 1833, passed on the name "Brane" to the property's subsequent owners. The vineyard already possessed a formidable reputation before the 1855 classification, its name on the lips of everyone who was anyone in eighteenth century Medoc.For 4 generations, the Lurton family has kept the secrets to the chateau’s divine wine. Today, the future of this magnificent chateau rests in the capable hands of Henri Lurton, whose dynamism, humility, and consistency is plain for all to see.Visitors are in awe as they approach the chateau, tucked away in the heart of 75 hectares of vines.
