The first Romanesque church dates back to 1143. It was given in 1199 to the Abbey of Sauve Majeure in the Gironde, by the Bishop of Périgueux.
It was destroyed during the 100 years war. Only a few large stones remain at the base of the present church.
The Gothic church was burnt down by the Protestants of Turenne. It was repaired at the beginning of the 17th century.
It has four chapels paid for by the four co-lords of Siorac who were to serve as their tomb. Until 1900, a cemetery surrounded the church.
