Walkers can walk on the Bassin d'Arcachon via the Arès pier.
The Arès pier, built in the 18th century, is the simplest and oldest of the Arcachon basin. It is a long cement stone path that looks like a quay.
Near the pier, you will find today, the oviport and its flying saucer, as well as a playground on the beach.
From the jetty, take the path that runs along the basin to the right, for a 10 min walk to the Oyster Port.
