The present church was built between 1880 and 1889. But it is not the first oratory that the village had. An old church already existed between the 12th and 13th century. It fell in ruins and was too small. Its restoration was expensive. The mayor at the time, the Count of Dampierre, asked the clergy for a new place of prayer. The clergy refused to subsidise it. An additional tax was levied and with the help of the Count, the donor, the new church was built. It is the latter, imposing by its size, that you can see today. At the entrance of the church, notice the mission cross from 1865.
