Fontaine Notre-Dame

Renowned healer, the Notre Dame fountain is located in the Moulin de Pin district of Ychoux. It takes its name from the niche where a statue of the Virgin Mary wearing a blue cloak is enthroned. The spring has the reputation of curing all kinds of diseases and traditionally gives rise to popular pilgrimages. Abbot Loubère even initiated the creation of a Way of the Cross south of the fountains. However, pilgrimages to Notre-Dame or other fountains in the forest of Ychoux are becoming increasingly rare nowadays.
