The Carmelites settled in Saint-Sever, in an 18th century house called "La Mirande" and are still there. The convent was fitted out in 1933 by the Biarrot architect Charles Hébrard. The magnificent stained-glass windows as well as the decoration with mosaics, frescoes, sculpture, of their chapel are by Carl Doméjean (1942 - 45). The 5 stained glass windows on the south wall represent: the Annunciation, the Crucifixion, Saint John, the prophet Elijah and Saint Teresa of Avila.
