In the heart of the Landes forest, this bastide founded late in 1320 by Edward II of England appears unfinished. However, it was a hunting lodge for the kings of Navarre, as the remains of the Château Henri IV bear witness. It is of architectural interest for its non-restored houses, a half-timbered and corbelled house built, it is said, for Sully, the former Priory of the Barn and the 15th century vaults of the chapel.
