You are invited to discover Tonneins by its docks! The town stretches for more than two kilometres along the Garonne, a feeder river, a major transport axis and a natural protection against invasions. From the bridge, a single glance is enough to understand the interest of the city's location, between river and hillsides. On the right bank, you will notice the old royal tobacco factory and the old wash-house. On the left bank, you discover the ancient tombs of the small Saint-Germain cemetery and, further on, a beautiful picnic area near the rocks of Reculay. This natural obstacle on the Garonne is a kayaker's delight! For the specialists, there is even a 1.50 m high surf wave, practicable all year round, as well as rafting possibilities!
