In the heart of the village of Aubiac is the Romanesque church of Sainte-Marie, listed as a Historic Monument. Austere in appearance, almost military, this 11th century building is built on the remains of a Merovingian building, some sarcophagi of which have been found. Another object found in the west tower of the church: a wooden pedestal dating from the 15th century, currently on display in the museum of Agen. This religious sculpture represents a widespread artistic theme: the Virgin Mary weeping for Christ on her knees.
You will be able to observe frescoes representing the four evangelists on the dome of the church's trefoil chevet.
