It is an old building, whose ruins still look good, overlooking the Garonne. Leaning against the church of Bazens, it tells us a story from the 16th century. At the time, the lord of the place was Matteo Bandello, powerful bishop of Agen and man of letters. Of the prestigious courtyard housed in the castle, only a decor remains, of which some subtle refinements give a glimpse of its splendour. The church is even older. The stone altar and the baptismal font come straight from the original construction, in the 11th or 12th century. And if you need to step back a little to immortalize the moment, you will find a restaurant terrace right at the foot of the castle!
