The church of St. Christopher dates from the 12th century. The building is built on an original plan that widens from bay to bay by means of a system of protrusions or projections from the wall. The apse, the narrowest part, is extended by a semicircular vaulted bay. The 19th century marble altar inspired by neoclassical art is remarkable! The massive belfry taking the form of a square tower and its nave is composed of four bays. The church also has a set of sculpted capitals, characteristic of Romanesque art.
In the 12th century, Romestaing was the seat of a commandery of the Knights of Saint John of Jerusalem: the Templars. Then in the 16th century, the order was replaced by that of the Knights of Malta: the Hospitallers.
