Le Moulin Farvache ou Moulin des Îles

Description

Ce moulin à foulon - ou à draps - daterait du XVIe siècle. Il servait à foulonner les draps ainsi que les étoffes.
L'écrivain Jean Bruller (1902 - 1991) y habita à partir de 1948. Mobilisé à Romans pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale, il entra dans la Résistance sous l'influence de Pierre de Lescure, avec qui il fonda les éditions de Minuit. Il y publia "Le Silence de la Mer".
