The Chapelle Notre Dame du Pont, nestled in a green setting on the banks of the Rance, in the commune of Leynhac, dates back to the 12th century.
The chapel contains magnificent frescoes from the 13th - 15th centuries, as well as a 17th-century gilded Virgin Mary. A place of in the heart of the Châtaigneraie.
L'Association Marguerite & Joseph Clauzet des amis de la Chapelle du Pont will show you around the chapel and tell you its history on Thursday throughout the summer.
