Also known as "Les Bas Bouillants", this building is typical of the second half of the 19th century.
A holiday destination for the Parisian nobility of the time, they were christened Folies or Affolantes, because of the multiple architectural references that went into their construction.
Doctor Soubiran, a notable Parisian whose name will remain attached to the residence, commissioned this mansion in pure classical Louis XIII style.
The château is set in beautiful grounds. The owner took advantage of the work to bury the ru du Lys for the "tacot" (a small train) to pass along the street that runs alongside the estate, to divert its course and make it pass behind the house, feeding a network of small streams and a pond where the animals of the Ferme Enfantine still frolic today.
