THE FRESCO "The SCAILLETEUX" :
This is the name given to the men who extracted the blocks of slate from the mines and cut them to make exploitable blocks. In honour o their memory, the town of Fumay commissionned the artist G.A Favaudon to make a fresco of slate and concrete, which is situated avenue Jean Jaurès.
