This isolated alpine pasture lies in a beautiful combe enclosed by the Haute Pointe cliff to the east, the Pointe de Chavannais to the north and grassy slopes on the west side. Joining the ridge to the west gives a superb panorama towards Lake Geneva. In winter, spring and autumn, it's a haven for chamois, who take refuge in the steep slopes at the foot of the cliff.
In summer, the area is occupied by a few cows, and fewer than ten chalets scattered here and there are a reminder of the human presence.
This pretty coomb is inhabited by marmots, who remind us of their presence with their shrill cry.
