Then you can visit the nearby Romanesque church, architectural heritage of five periods of construction (1st - 19th century). The Viuz Faverges Archeological Museum consists of three rooms filled with artifacts found locally during tests and formal excavations. These objects, ranging from the commonplace to the extraordinary, illustrate the history of human settlement in the area. From the stone Age, axes and tools; from the bronze and iron Ages, jewelry, coins, pottery, tools as well as a huge gallo-roman cauldron. The museum is located next to the Viuz Saint Jean-Baptiste church, whose Romanesque choir dates back to the 12th Century and houses older foundations of several successive buildings dating back to gallo-roman times as well as early christianity.
