The route starts at the Perrey stadium, where you follow the Bouzey canal to the Huchère pond. You then continue through the town of Remiremont on a tarmac section. You then reach the Etang de la Demoiselle via a pleasant singletrack, then continue through the forest on wide sections of track before reaching a short tarmac section. The route continues along the ruisseau de la Niche, via a very pleasant singletrack with a few technical difficulties. You leave the stream to join a rolling track to the étang de la Plaine, a great place to take a break! The route then continues on a track through the heart of the forest, with its sumptuous trees and bed of green moss characteristic of the Vosges. A stop at the Arboretum is essential to learn more about the forest and the trees that make it up. The route continues through the forest, with a succession of small bumps and an alternation of different ground surfaces and path widths with no particular difficulties. You reach the Crête de Tacaumont and enjoy this superb view of the Moselle valley and the Massif du Fossard. The path continues on a monotrace that skirts the ridge before beginning a rapid descent. You then reach the banks of the Moselle, before returning to the starting point by following the Bouzey canal and then the Etangs de le Prarie du Vouau.
The route is difficult because of its length, and you alternate between different types of surface, with stretches of road, forest paths, wide tracks and single-track sections. There are few really technical sections, but the difficulty lies in the distance covered and the multitude of bumps alternating between short climbs and descents.
