The church in Cahagnes was destroyed on June 28, 1944 during the fighting of the Liberation. A new church was built to plans by Swiss architect Herman Bauer. The Nativité-de-Notre-Dame church has a very slender, separate vibrated concrete bell tower, but the bells have been separated and installed fifty meters away, near the presbytery.

This 19th-century cross was donated to the parish in 1865 by Jeanne Fortin. Destroyed in 1944 during the Battle of Normandy, it was restored in 1951 by the parishioners of Les Loges.

The pond is located in Livry, 1.5km from Caumont-l'Eventé, 15km from Bayeux, 20km from Saint-Lô and 30km from Caen. Ponds are available for hire for private groups or works committees, from a minimum of 10 participants. Catering facilities on site, barbecue at your disposal and children’s play park.

The observatory faces the D-Day landing beaches, some 30 km away, which can be seen on a clear day. A map depicts the Allied advance from June 6 to 13, 1944. The commune of Caumont l'Eventée was liberated on June 13 by General Clarence Huebner's 1st American Infantry Division, the "Big Red One". On the same site, a memorial stele commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Normandy. The Cerisy national forest, Bayeux Cathedral and the Sallen wind turbines are the main features of this viewpoint over this typical bocage landscape.

Georges Charles Grey, député britannique et capitaine au 4e bataillon blindé des Grenadier Guards, débarque en Normandie fin juillet 1944 dans le cadre de l’opération Bluecoat. Sa première mission est de prendre le village de Sept-Vents. Il est tué par un sniper allemand le matin du 30 juillet. George Grey est inhumé là où il est mort, sous cette croix celtique, selon le vœu de sa famille.
