Path from Peyrat which leads to the hamlet of Mireval or "mira-valh" which means in Occitan "look at the valley". Until the mid-nineteenth century, Le Peyrat was an industrial center specialized in the manufacture of horn comb and leather goods.

This is a tour that is done in two days on a path, both wooded and steep, along part of the river Hers, borrowing the old railway line through the Orris Castle Roquefixade.

GR 7a from Lesparrou to Montsegur Castle borrows the Cathar trail through the Cross of Morenci. Shrine Neolithic, you can make out a pile of very white and cracked blocks on a pedestal of dark rocks.

Discovery of an exceptional natural environment At an altitude of 850 m, this chasm is about 60m by 30m and is accessible thanks to a platform of vision for a visit in full safety. It is the abyss of both absorption and collapse. The total depth reaches about 110m. This hole was a mass grave. When the horses were at the end of their life, their owner took them to this chasm. We guess then why this hole was prized crows.

One can, without fear of being accused of exaggeration, describe Fontestorbes as "Wonder of the World" and contrary to the seven wonders of the ancient world, all having in common to be the fact of the man, Fontestorbes is the only fruit of the chance of nature. A rare phenomenon and really extraordinary. For most of the year (7 to 9 months), the fountain runs constantly. On the other hand, during periods of low water from July to September, one day, it becomes abruptly intermittent over a complete cycle of about 60 to 90 minutes.

Soon it will hopefully be even faster as we are getting fibre. Environment At Residence Midi we think of the environment. This is why most of our furniture is second hand vintage or repurposed, the linens and textiles are made of bio cotton, other natural material or fabricated out of recycled materials. All our cleaning products, detergents and beauty products are ecological, non toxic, biodegradable and often handmade and according to zero waste principles to avoid unnecessary packaging.
