Provins the mysterious... Come and discover the most mysterious places in the medieval town of Provins! The first purpose of the underground galeries was the explotation of materials for the drapera industry of Provins. Then, they served many others: a shelter, a warehouse, a cave and even a gathering place for occults, as numerous symboles and old writings can witness. • The Romanesque Church: dates from the middle of the XIIth century but the construction started in the Xth century. • The Protestant Church: built on the site of the Barn of the Protestant Massacre (1562), it now houses a museum where an exhibition and a slide show with sound about the Wars of Religion and the presence of the Protestant community in Wassy are displayed. • The old town: the Place Marie-Stuart (Mary Stuart Square) was built on the site of the former stronghold with architecture typical of the 19th century; the Tour du Dôme (Dome Tower), the gates and the ramparts; the cast iron art work in the park. • The Town Hall: the astronomical clock, paintings (Pernot, M. Calvès, Humblot), the socio-cultural centre and the hospital chapel: the vault and the paintings of Joseph Constant Menissier.

Roman churches - Wassy The church dates from the middle of the XIIth century but the construction started in the Xth century.

The museum is housed in the Protestant Temple. Explanatory panels, shop windows and a video montage tell you about the history of the Protestant community of Wassy as well as the wars of national religions. In the 16th century, clashes took place between Catholics and Protestants. On March 1, 1562, the massacre of Protestants of Wassy by the soldiers of the Duke of Guise, leader of the Catholics will be the triggering event of the Wars of Religion that will divide France until the Edict of Nantes in 1598.

Metallurgic Park allows the public to discover the secrets of the expertise of the metallurgical industry of the regions of Northern Haute-Marne and South Meuse, on the park's 4 sites. The biggest of these situated in Dommartin-le-Franc, on the site of the blast furnace with a sound and light show presenting 25 centuries of the metallurgical industry. The other sites : - the wash-houses of the Valley of the River Blaise, - the former blast furnace of Vecqeville, - the open pit mines of Poissons. But also: temporary exhibitions each year, and animations and/or workshops.

The St. Bartholomew's church presents two major periods of construction.

Menhir of the "Haute-Borne" When it was erected approximately 4000 years ago, this menhir reached almost 7 metres high. The megalith was restored in 1845.

Discover a picturesque village, two churches, the Mecca of cast iron artwork and ornamental cast ironwork, of sculpture and visit “the Paradise”. The bases of more than 1,000 plaster models created by Antoine Durenne have been indexed by the Musée d’Orsay.

The breweries welcome visitors: tasting cellar, a chance to watch the brewer make. Dervoise and Saint-Dizier are two Haute-Marne beers to discover! Based in Montier-en-Der (dervoise) since November 2006, Noël Lepoix keeps the brewing tradition of the Champagne region alive.
