Hike from the village of Janailhac to see the church and its listed frescoes. Discover the surrounding Limousin countryside from several vantage points.

The Richard Coeur de Lion West cycling loop takes in the rolling roads of western Limousin, in Haute-Vienne, in 4 stages and 10 sections. You'll cycle along the Voie Verte des Hauts de Tardoire and the V56 and V93 cycle routes. You'll visit the villages of Châlus, Rochechouart and Nexon, with their castles on the Richard the Lionheart discovery route. You'll pass through Limoges, the city with the largest concentration of services and facilities, and then the small villages where life is good, such as Oradour-sur-Vayres, Saint-Martin-de- Jussac, Saint-Priest-sous-Aixe, Aixe-sur-Vienne and Saint-Hilaire-les-Places. You can cycle this loop at your own pace, in sections, stages or all at once, depending on your mood and your cycling skills.

South of Limoges, Burgnac offers you a short hike with several viewpoints over the Limousin countryside. Start off in the village opposite the church, passing through the village of Bos Foulu and the sunken lanes along the way.

Domaine des Simples is a farm specializing in sheep farming and the cultivation of medicinal & aromatic plants.

The St Laurent moor has been designated as a site of major ecological interest at European level (Natura 2000 program). It is managed by the Conservatoire Régional des Espaces Naturels du Limousin and the Communauté de communes du pays de Saint-Yrieix, in partnership with the commune of La Roche l?Abeille. It is made up of serpentine, a low-acid rock unlike the region's granite. Its highly original ecosystems are home to a rare biological heritage. To discover it, follow the 4 km interpretation trail, which focuses on pastoralism. Sheep tracks guide visitors as they discover the natural and historical riches of the Lande. The trail is easy to follow.

At the bend of a long driveway, discover the park's chapel, built in the 19th century and still owned by the Gay de Nexon family. Adrienne Chanel, aunt of the famous Coco Chanel, is buried here.

A flamboyant property with a rich history and evidence of its equestrian past, the Domaine de Nexon was built in the 17th century. It remained the property of the same family until 1983, when the local council acquired it. The features that are still present today bear witness to the existence of the stud farm, which was created in the 16th century by the owners. The park and the surroundings of the castle are freely accessible all year round.

The Etang de la Lande is the town of Nexon's lake. In season, it is used by fishermen, but swimming is prohibited. The setting is pleasant: a fine sandy beach, large lawns and a beautiful small forest offering the opportunity for refreshing walks in the undergrowth during the summer. There are also a number of children's games and picnic tables. Enough to spend a pleasant, relaxing day! A campsite on its banks welcomes tourists.

Located at the entrance to the cemetery, the chapel stands on the site of an ancient oratory that existed there in the 13th century. At that time, it was still called "Chapelle Notre Dame des Neiges", but from the 14th century onwards, the name "Chapelle Notre Dame des Garennes" was adopted, due to the surrounding woods. Come and see the Virgin and Child holding a distaff in her right hand, a traditional symbol of women?s work in the past.
