An itinerary to discover Marsal, whose name is due to its many salt springs, and the Seille Valley, as far as the Bois de Bride. Museum Gaspar is housed in the residence of the middle-class family Gaspar from Arlon who had set up in this house (1893) that was built in 1842. It was renovated in 2004. The two most famous members of this family are animal sculptor Jean-Marie Gaspar (1861-1931) and Charles Gaspar (1971-1950) who was a photographer and a sponsor. He gave his house to the town of Arlon on the condition they make a museum of it, dedicated to his brother's work and that put into honour the history and the heritage of Arlon. At the first floor, theree are two restored salons identical to a middle-class salon from the early 20th century that show Jean-Marie Gaspar's sculptures. and the art and picture collection of Charles Gaspar. The rest of the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions of the museum that alternates artv and history. A religion room shows collections about the abbey of Orval and to the people's devotion at the 18th century, and also relics from the ancient Saint-Martin church. But the Masterpiece is the famous altarpiece Retable de Fisenne - a 16th century masterpiece from the Antwerp school. It was bought in 1893 by a middle-class family from Arlon, the family Gaspar. Jean Gaspar (1861-1931) was a sculptor. He was trained by the Antwerp sculptor Jef Lambeaux. His works are in bronze and in plaster and they are exhibited in the salons that have been restorated as they were in his house. His brother Charles (1871-1950) was a photographer, a collector and a sponsor. He gave this house to the town of Arlon. It hosts the library of the Archaeological Institute of the Belgian Province of Luxembourg and its secretary office since 1954. A wide part of the museum is also dedicated to temporary exhibitions about art and history of Arlon.

This monument was added in 2017 to the Bathelémont monument where these soldiers were buried, and in addition to its vocation as a tribute, the Réchicourt-la-Petite monument precisely marks the place where these three soldiers died. It can be reached from this car park by taking a 1.1 km operating road, not recommended for light vehicles.

In a clearly agricultural environment, facing the vast Parroy forest, Parroy's pond is the largest in the department. It is an artificial water reservoir for the Marne-Rhine canal and indirectly for the Sânon and Meurthe rivers. The activities identified on the banks of the Parroy pond include the nautical activities of the sailing base (boats, windsurfing, pedal boats, etc.), hiking, fishing and hunting. The areas around the pond are dedicated to agriculture (dominant crops).

A few days after the declaration of the war, on August 20th 1914, the French offensive in the annexed Lorraine was abruptly stopped at Morhange. The German counter-attack pushed back the French beyond the river Meurthe but the battle of « la trouée de Charmes » put an end to it. Then, the Germans turned to Nancy but the failed to succeed in the « Grand Couronné » fights. There was an end of all those events on September 13th 1914. The French recovered most part of the lost territory, but the stabilization of the front in autumn did not allow the reconquest of the following villages : Xures, Parroy, Coincourt, Réchicourt, Juvrecourt, Bezange-la-Grande and Mouacourt. During the whole war, the zone witnessed nearly daily artillery duels. Hoping to maintain that position, the Germans settled down and in May 1918, they built numerous concrete shelters, among them, those five blockhaus. The men from the first Bavarian field artillery regiment left remains of their presence on the above command blockhaus.

At the 1st World War, american soldiers began to fight in this surroundings of Lunévillois and the 3 first Americans killed in France were died near the village of Bathelémont. A first war memorial, drawned by Louis Majorelle, was built in front of the old church (now destroyed) in Bathelémont as early as November 1918. However, this memorial was destroyed during the 2nd World War in October 1940. A new monument was built and unveil on 9th May 1955. Then, this new memorial was moved near the cemetery of the district on 19th August 1977. Nowadays it is the place where the monument can be found. The dead bodies of those 3 Americans were never burried under this war memorial ; but the monument was erect to remember those first american soldiers killed in France. Free access all the year.

This old-growth forest occupies a 300-hectare massif that dominates the Lorraine plateau. The Sensitive Natural Area of the Ranzey forest and its old trees is a suitable playground for specific bird populations, such as the Ringed Flycatcher, as well as for a dozen varieties of bats, half of the species known in Lorraine.

The Gué-oir was a ford passage that allows livestock to drink and, in the same time, to wash their paws in order to avoid illnesses. It was also a water reserve in case of fire. The Gué-oir system has been created during roman period (1st century before Christ). Moreover the Vaucourt village is a stage for geo-catching game's followers.

In Emberménil, a village in Lorraine, on a remarkable hiking trail, discover the " bunker of command of the crown prince of Bavaria " during the First World War. This bunker was reserved for the superior officers of the German Army.
