The Bois du Dehès covers 18 hectares. A real place of discovery, the site is a Natura 2000 zone where the natural heritage species listed are preserved according to the European Habitats and Birds Directives. Built in the 13th century and developed over the following centuries, it was the gateway to the medieval castle of the Veyrines seigniory of which it is the only vestige.
