The church is in Romanesque style and probably from the 16th century with a single nave. Inside is the bust of Mommolin (a local saint). The bell tower has openings that seem to be loopholes. In the porch there is a beam with strange motifs, perhaps a specimen of popular art from the 15th century. The walls of this building are made of garluche. Next to the church is the fountain Sainte Ruffine to treat impetigo, acne and eczema.

It is a Tudor castle that was built for the Duke of Westminster in 1910. In recognition of his courage during the Boer War (South Africa), the Duke was offered the reward of a residence. During a hunting expedition, he chose the surroundings of the Aureilhan Pond to build this hunting lodge and its outbuildings, the construction of which began in 1911. The cottage is in English style with its curved gables and Landes style with its brickwork in fish bone. It was built according to the plans of his African house already named Woolsack It was a major event for the region, a large number of inhabitants worked for the Duke. Coco Chanel, Winston Churchill or Salvador Dali took advantage of this very relaxing place. The Duke's death in July 1953 put an end to the period of pomp and circumstance. The most beautiful flowering area of Mimizan, the Flowering Promenade is located in a cove at Lake Aureilhan – Mimizan and is decorated with more than 300 species of flowers,shrubs and trees.

Visitors can wander up and down the rows of fruit and vegetables we lovingly grow, or discover our herd of Highland cattle and Ouessant sheep. The fruit and vegetables grown on the farm are available to purchase from our farm shop, as well as products from other organic producers. Discover our range of local products, including dairy products, bread, honey, jam, canned goods and plenty of other surprises. Open from Tuesday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm. Come and see us on the local markets: Mimizan-Plage, Mimizan-Bourg, St-Julien-en-Born and Contis in the summer.

Due to the poor condition of the old church, the construction of a new church was decided in November 1879. It was consecrated in neo-gothic style on May 3, 1891. All the statues date from the end of the 19th century. The high altar is in neoclassical style and represents the Last Supper. A gilded wooden statue of the Virgin Mary dating from the 17th century is installed in the north chapel. The symphonic organ was built in 1888. But it is only in 2003 that it will be bought by the association of the friends of the organ.

The church of the former Benedictine Priory of St. Mary formed the heart of a space called "sauveté". This "sauveté" was closely linked to the notion of the right of asylum. The lords of the day also granted rights and privileges to these salvaged persons, for example the right of wreckage: "whoever found a barrel could drink from it to satiation - whoever found a piece of cloth could carve a habit from it". The salvage area was delimited by boundary stones or pyramids Of the 9 "pyramids" that existed in the 19th century, there are currently more than 5, but their foundations, which were buried in sand (up to 2m) over the past centuries, were thus protected from total destruction. They have been classified as Historic Monument since 1941. The circuit of the pyramids is available at the museum of Mimizan

World heritage. A medieval art gem with a XIII century door sculpted out of polychrome wood as well as a magnificent collection of wall paintings from the XV century.

Already existing, it served as a new church when the population was transferred to this town around 1678. It was surrounded by a cemetery (moved in the 19th century) closed to the north by the hospital house, which still exists and together with the church forms a very interesting complex with a medieval past. The old cemetery had an entrance porch which today serves as the front porch of the church. The entrance porch was created later. The sanctuary vault has 7 ribs. The keystone of the vault has 8 branches carved and finished in shamrock. The 3 windows are mullioned in the style of the 15th c. Around 1600, we note the description of 2 side chapels. The choir was probably closed. The stained glass windows are by a contemporary Landes artist. On the north wall of the church one notices a wooden cross Christ from an uncertain period.
